Writing Workshops

Drawing on a background in theatrical performance, Stacy Barton takes writers on a whirlwind tour of dramatic structure, rich characters, and comic timing. With a contagious passion and encouraging playfulness, she uses theater to guide the art of storytelling.

Workshops can range from an hour or two, to a full day. Her books of fiction can be included in the workshop fee and pre-ordered through WordFarm Press at Stacy Barton does not do poetry workshops.

Stacy Barton reads from her published work as well as new work in progress – both poetry and fiction. As a former actress, her readings are charming, funny, and full of emotion; her responses to audience questions are always engaging. Readings last 30-45 min with 15-20 minute Q&A.
